Please join us for a very special Conversational Evensong with

John Rutter

Sunday 10th September 2017 at 6.00pm.

Born in London in 1945, John Rutter CBE is a composer, conductor, editor, arranger and record producer, mainly of choral music. He received his first musical education at Highgate School as a chorister and went onto study music at Clare College, Cambridge, where he wrote his first published compositions and conducted his first recording whilst still a student.

In 1980 he was made honorary Fellow of Westminster Choir College, Princetown, and in 1988 a Fellow of the Guild of Church Musicians.

In 1996 the Archbishop of Canterbury conferred a Lambeth Doctorate of Music upon him in recognition of his contribution to church music. An evening of relaxed conversation and worship and music and a chance to find out a little more about John Rutter,

what inspires and motivates him.

Canapes will be offered after the service.
