It seems ages since we celebrated Palm Sunday and Easter Day together. What a wonderful sight to see the church so full on both occasions. It was good to welcome the Bishop of London and to have her see and hear of the work we are doing.
It’s now May and we have a full programme. Don’t forget the Friends A.G.M on Sunday 8 May.
We are welcoming two wonderful young musicians on Sunday 15th May at 3pm – part of our Third Sunday in the month series of concerts, it’s great to be able to showcase young classical talent at St Nicholas, I do hope you will be able to join us.
Finally in May we welcome Dr Hilary Lines In Conversation on Sunday 29 May at 6pm. Hilary, who many of you will know, has worked extensively highlighting the problem of modern day slavery. It will be an engaging evening.
For those of you in London for the following Jubilee extended weekend we will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in church on Sunday 5 June at 10.30pm. We will be planting a commemorative flowering cherry tree in the church grounds followed by cupcake and fizz reception back in church. Do join us for this very, very special day.
